Married – Mark and Jenny

Let me begin by saying I loved every minute of Jenny and Mark in front of my camera. From the engagement session, the bridal session (to come to the blog soon), and the wedding, it was all beautifully amazing! How these two met was a very interesting and I’m going to let Jenny tell the story in her own words.
My husband and I originally met while he was on a date with a friend of a friend who was having a birthday dinner.   After that relationship ended, seven months later Mark and I reconnected on Match.com.  Mark had joined match because he had just attended a wedding and had been seated next to a married couple who had met online and had spoken very highly of their experience.  Half-heartedly (due to previous bad experiences from online dating) Mark decided to give it another shot.  I, on the other hand, had been on Match because I was in grad school.   Per the program, working was not permitted, so I found myself moving home to a small town (in my late 20’s) and living with my parents while I completed my clinical internships.  By the time Mark messaged me I had become completely disenchanted with online dating and my membership was set to expire in three days.   Mark sent me a message that night after the wedding. Had it not been for me checking my junk mail (because he was out of my age range) I might not be writing this story! After opening up his message, I immediately recognized him and sent him a message asking if his name was Mark.  To his surprise, only living in NC for a year, and not knowing many people, he was astonished to find out that we had met before.  From there we went on several very special dates.  He would travel an hour outside the city to see me in my hometown.  It wasn’t but a few months until we both knew our search was over!

Their wedding took place in the furtherest point of the NC mountains at McGuire’s Millrace Farm in Murphy, NC. Loved, loved this venue and can’t wait to get back there for another wedding! Anyone, anyone??? Their wedding consisted of mint greens, soft pinks, and creams hues. The weather was threatening a thunderstorm, but God held it off just after the ceremony. Literally minutes after the guest went inside for the reception it poured!
Do stay tuned for part 2 of this beautiful wedding which includes the first look, portraits, and reception.
