Hi! I’m Heather Fink. Imagine me smiling really big as I enthusiastically shake your hand. Meeting new people is one of my favorite parts about my career as a lifestyle photographer. Hearing my clients’ stories about how she met her fiance, the intense discussions the soon-to-be mom and dad had when choosing the perfect name for their new baby, and figuring out how everyone in the large family session is related to one another is an aspect of my work that keeps me in the photography business. My goal as a photographer is to capture those authentic, organic moments in a family’s life and provide them with beautiful images to look back on forever.
With over ten years of experience in both commercial and lifestyle photography, including a degree in Commercial Photography, I know what my clients need from a photographer and I strive to make the entire experience stress-free and enjoyable. That may mean giving advice on coordinating family clothing choices for a shoot, creating a wedding day time-line with the bride, or patiently waiting for a days-old baby to fall asleep in his mama’s arms. Whatever the task, I am present to serve my clients to the best of my ability.
When I’m not behind the camera or in front of the computer editing images, you might find me supplying my daughter, Adelai (born 2011), with glittery stickers for her endless art projects, playing catch down the hallway with my son, Gideon (born 2013), or reading books with my baby girl, Esme (born 2015). Along with their dad, Jesse, who I married back in 2006 after he won me over with his wit and infectious smile, these three have my heart. At this busy stage of my life where it’s a good day if everyone is alive, fed, and bathed, I can only dream of having the time to travel (my last trip was my babymoon! Which was Mexico, so I shouldn’t complain!), to decorate my home with all of the DIY projects I have lingering in my head, and to read some of the classic books my husband dearly loves. That said, I am humbled and blessed by the responsibilities I have and even more so, the loved ones God has graciously placed in my life.
So that’s me in a nutshell! The next step is to schedule an appointment to meet me at Amelie’s for a coffee and a scrumptious pastry (I try something new each time) where I can learn more about YOU. I’ll be the one smiling really big, ready to shake your hand.
