I had the opportunity to photograph this year’s North Carolina Firefighter of the Year, David Vanhoy!
David is Fire Captain for Shelby Fire and Rescue Department and he has devoted 11 years of work for the department. The North Carolina Firemen’s Association awarded him North Carolina Firefighter of the Year on August 10th of this year.
You may remember David from his family session I did last month. When his wife, Kellie, contacted me about photographing him at his station in Shelby I was absolutely thrilled.
His son even joined in on the session with his fireman gear. He was adorable!
